On the Learning Center, users have the ability to earn certificates and Continuing Education (CE) credits in different cases. While requirements and offerings vary, we’ve compiled this guide to help you understand the differences and find the appropriate documentation.
First, let’s define each type:
Certificate - Documentation that an individual has met all of the requirements to complete a training, self-guided course, or anytime session.
Continuing Education (CE) Credits - A measure used in continuing education programs to assist professionals in maintaining a license in their profession.
Next, let’s learn about where you can find the related requirements and documents.
Certificates
For Courses
Certificates for completing a course will be generated once you have completed the evaluation at the end of the course. To view and download your certificate:
Navigate to My Learning by clicking LEARN, then My Learning
Scroll to the relevant course and click “Download certificate” or “Evaluate course” if you have not completed the evaluation yet
After completing the evaluation, you will see another button appear next to the course, “Request CE Credit”, where applicable. If you would also like to receive CE Credit, click this button and complete the survey.
Note: The UCLA Division of Population Behavioral Health, which contributes to the Wellbeing for LA Learning Center , is an approved sponsor by the American Psychological Association to provide Continuing Education (CE) credits. Those who typically request CEs are licensed clinicians (PsyD, LMFT, LCSW, etc). We suggest you check with your state licensing board to ensure that these CEs will meet your requirements.
For Trainings
Certificate requirements vary by training. All trainings issue certificates of participation if you attend (live trainings).
For the majority of trainings, a Post-Training Evaluation Survey Evaluation must be completed to receive a certificate. The survey can also be found on the training registration page. To get back to the training registration page when you are logged into learn.wellbeing4la.org, click Learn > My Learning > Virtual Trainings then click on the name of the training.
Due to the variety of partners hosting different trainings, certificate generation time may vary. It can take a few days or weeks for a certificate to be awarded. Once awarded, you can view and download your certificate from the My Learning page:
Click LEARN in the top right menu, then My Learning
Scroll to the relevant training and click “Download certificate”
Note: If your employer has partnered with us to require this training, it may take a few weeks to see the training reflected in your employer’s transcript tracking system (Ex/ Learning.NET).
